They have some nice deals buying the software together with good acknowledged titles like Merriam Webster, Langenscheidt and Oxford. Then translation is really a fun thing to do.

This thesaurus/dictionary can be used to look up words from almost any program. In addition to displaying sense definitions and synonyms, WordWeb can find sets of related words. The database has more than 150,000 root words and 120,000 synonym sets, many proper nouns, pronunciations, and usage tags. WordWeb works off line, but when online you can also quickly view Web references such as the Wikipedia encyclopedia. Version 5.52 has minor updates and compatibility fixes.

Pros: Running in the background it is much easier than having to bring up a dict prgm. Also, the various definition tabs access a lot of info. The audio feature is great for seldom used words. The inclusion of Latin phrases is hlepful.

Cons: Sometimes I have trouble getting the program to define the word I have my cursor on or have highlighted.

Summary: This is one of the easiest to use & most convenient programs I have ever used. I usually compose about 15 pages of teaching material a week (notes & manuscripts). WordWeb makes my job much easier.
